Top U.K. choreographer Lea Anderson, founder of "The Cholmondeleys" and "The
Featherstonehaughs" will be presenting the fruits of her 9 month long
immersion in the world of circus arts through an ensemble performance created
using the talents of the 19 students of the 2003 graduating class of our
BA(Hons)Theatre Practice - Circus Degree course*.
Through
a unique "Artist in Residence" experience, made possible
through a grant from The
Leverhulme Trust, Lea has been dissecting the idea of the circus "number" and
the possibilities that are offered once it is taken apart, scrambled
up and put back together again.
The
public for this performance will be expected to stand or move in
order to view the performance from different angles. A space will
be provided for those with limited mobility, on first-come-first-served
basis, please inform the Box Office at the time of booking.
*The
BA is run in association with the Central School of Speech and
Drama and validated by the OUVS
