Front Somersaults: Starting with the basics of how to do a front somersault leading up to different shapes in forward somersaulting i.e. tuck, pike, straight, barani, twisting.
Experience required: Must have attended at least 6 beginners level acrobatic classes.
Back Flips: Basic principles for standing back flips, working up to linking multiple back flips and round off back flips (not back somersaults).

Dance Based Acrobatics: Skills that are taught throughout this course include Gymnastic based floor skills that can be incorporated into any floor-based performance or just for fun! Front and back walkover, tinsica. One arm front and back walkover, front and back walkover to splits. Valdez, Valdez to splits, one arm Valdez. Handstand pirouette, Healy turns, chest roll. Front somersault to sit, butterfly. One leg stands - arabesque, wine glass, flag, needle. Head-spring, head-spring half turn to front support. Experience Required – See above & Must be reasonably flexible (able to do a bridge)To be eligible to book onto this course you must have a reasonable level of dance experience (e.g. can do simple dance steps like step ball change) and equally are at minimum a beginner level acrobatic student at TCS. Being able to do simple dance steps, cartwheels, bridges etc are all a basic requirement. If you're unsure of whether you qualify to join this class please consult your acrobatic teacher first before booking. Please note that if you book onto this course and during the first week you do not meet the above criteria, you will not be allowed to continue the course and will lose your payment for the whole course, so please do consult your teacher prior to booking.

Acrobatic Carnet Booking / Payment
New acrobatic students of any level must attend the induction class on a Monday or Tuesday prior to attending a drop in acrobatic class/course or trampoline course.
Acrobatic students need to buy a carnet of 6 tickets for drop in classes that are valid for three months. Carnets can be used for any drop in acrobatic class once you have completed the induction class.
A single acrobatic carnet costs £63 / £51 concession which can be used on acrobatic tumbling and balancing drop in classes. We highly recommend that you attend the acrobatic classes weekly to reduce the risk of an injury due to lack of fitness and to get the maximum benefit / learning from the classes.
Classes can be booked over the phone by using your carnet. 48 hours notice must be given if you wish to change your booking.

Acrobatic Induction Class
The Acrobatic Induction Class will briefly cover an introduction to The Circus Space (TCS) and your Health & Safety whilst in the building and the different types of acrobatics taught at TCS (balancing, tumbling & trampoline). Within this class you will have a go at acrobatic tumbling and balancing and have a chance to observe the trampoline course. At the end of the class the teacher having assessed your level will be able to recommend the appropriate class for you.This Induction Class must be attended by anybody who has not previously attended acrobatic classes at TCS no matter what their previous acrobatic experience is.

Trapeze Courses - Classes in Trapeze for Adults Aged 18 and Above- Top7-week courses in flying & static trapeze for adults.
Anyone wanting to sign up for a trapeze course must do an Introduction to Circus Skills course first, unless, you have recent trapeze experience (see below). All our trapeze courses have a waiting list of between 3-18 months. Places will only be offered to people on our interest list. To join the interst list please call reception on 020 7729 9522 once you’ve completed your Introduction to Circus Skills course. People on the interest list will be notified of spaces via e-mail.

Aerial Course Prices
The price of a trapeze course is a multiple of £14/£12 concession. I.E. a 6 week course is £14/£12 x 6 weeks = £84 / £72 concession.Beginners + Interest List

What to wear | TopTracksuit bottoms / leotard, clean pair of trainers that can be worn inside and a T-shirt. Please note that jeans, combat trousers, baggy clothing, shorts and trousers with pockets on the side of the leg are not suitable for those activities. All jewellery will also need to be removed before undertaking these activities.
